Add Intelligence To Metering

For basic residential electric meters, the SecureMesh communications module adds intelligence to the meter to provide many of the functions of an advanced meter and support interval metering and TOU billing.  For advanced residential and C&I electric meters, the SecureMesh communications module provides direct access to all registers and tables within the meter.

On-demand and scheduled reads of all available registers for advanced and C&I meters and up to 2 registers for basic residential meters are supported.  Automatic meter readings can be scheduled and configured based on specific utility business needs and programs.

For SecureMesh gas meter modules, they are typically configured to support scheduled reads once or twice a day, corresponding as necessary to a utility’s gas day and billing day.
