SecureMesh™ Extender

The SecureMesh Extender is a high capacity base station that incorporates point-to-point backhaul, point-to-multipoint base station, and multi-hop relay device into a single device capable of fulfilling multiple roles to maximize deployment flexibility. SecureMesh Extenders expand the network by creating a flexible, robust multi-hop topology that offers carrier-class reliability through dynamic best-path routing, self healing, and adaptive modulation. The Extender is designed to help performance in harsher outdoor environments.

The SecureMesh Extender is a cost-effective way to connect substations that aren’t already connected with fiber. For substations with modem or leased line connections, the SecureMesh Extender not only provides an upgrade to broadband capacity but also eliminates the on-going operating expenses of leased communications.

The Extender also provides standard Ethernet to connect distribution devices. The Extender is also available with Wi-Fi to support mobile workers at the substation.
