SecureMesh™ Connector

The SecureMesh Connector provides cost-effective and long-range broadband wireless connectivity to distribution grid devices. Although specifically designed for cost effective communications, the SecureMesh WAN Connector also included advanced wireless features including a high-gain antenna, high-power radio, OFDM modulation, AES encryption, and QoS capabilities.

The SecureMesh Connector connects to a SecureMesh Gateway or Extender base station, which in turn can backhaul traffic through the multi-hop WAN network. The SecureMesh Connector provides a standard Ethernet connection and is typically deployed on any grid device and automatically self-provisions and configures upon establishing a link. Once connected, it provides an Ethernet connection to the grid devices and includes extensive options to define and manage rate controls and other quality-of-service parameters.
