Securely Link Meters To Private Backhaul

The SecureMesh Connector Bridge integrates a SecureMesh WAN Connector with a SecureMesh NAN access point.  Using a Connector’s high-gain directional panel antenna, the SecureMesh Connector Bridge links to the WAN as an endpoint of the WAN’s wireless mesh network, linking to one or more nearby Gateways, Extenders, or Extender Bridges.

The Connector Bridge, like a Connector, offers an Ethernet port to provide one or more Smart Grid distribution devices with SecureMesh WAN connectivity, but, unlike a standard Connector, includes the functionality of a NAN access point.  As an access point for the NAN, the Connector Bridge establishes and controls the subnetwork of NAN meters, in-building devices, and other nodes; collects and aggregates upstream data from those nodes; and provides SNMP-based management for the subnetwork.
