Trilliant offers utilities with a variety of services to help provide a successful deployment of a Smart Grid solution.
Project Management
Trilliant’s professional services team works closely with utilities on the deployment and integration of their Smart Grid communications network. Project managers work side-by-side with utility personnel to oversee that objectives are defined and milestones are met.
Network Design and Consulting Services
Trilliant’s approach to network design involves a multi-phased approach that include network modeling and system dimensioning that characterizes an entire Smart Grid network based on the specific geographical and requirements for each utility. System dimensioning uses a hybrid of laboratory and field-measured RF studies, which leverages real-world data collected from actual Trilliant SecureMesh network deployments under various conditions and configurations, drawing from a sample of more than 1 million mesh devices deployed in the field.
Software Installation and Integration
Trilliant’s professional services team works with the utility’s enterprise software personnel to install the UnitySuite Head-End Software for on-premise usage. In addition, the professional services team can provide software integration to tie the UnitySuite applications into existing enterprise software to customize Smart Grid communications.
Application Hosting
Trilliant offers hosted and turnkey web-based hosting services to utility customers for data collection and monitoring for daily operation of Smart Grid systems. Coupled with over 10 years of active experience in data acquisition and management, UnitySuite™ Head-End Software acquires data from electric, gas, and water meters over any network, and supports Commercial and Industrial (C&I) applications as well as mass-market residential offerings. Once the data is collected and stored on a server hosted by Trilliant, the utility has access to its data and information via a secure Internet connection. System administration and support are included with application hosting services.
Meter readings are collected by the UnitySuite Head-Eend Software and made available via a secure Internet connection. Utility personnel and customers can view load profile data through conventional web browsers. Each connection to the site is through a password-protected portal, so access is controlled to allow only those permitted to view data. Permissions can be segregated to a variety of levels, so a utility can see all its customers’ information while the end customers are only provided access to their own data.
Technical Training
Trilliant’s technical trainers provide the relevant hands-on curriculum that is developed and delivered by product experts. Training courses are arranged to provide on-site education and tailored to meet the specific needs of the utility.
Maintenance and Support
Trilliant’s technical support team provides utilities with the service and technical support required to maintain and optimize the Smart Grid communications network.
