CellReader® Gateways

CellReader® Gateways provide remote access over digital cellular networks to any energy device equipped with an RS-232 or RS-485 data interface, and where multiple devices equipped with RS-485 ports can communicate through a single Gateway unit.

A CellReader Gateway can provide wireless connectivity to high-end power quality meters (like Schneider ION meters), RTU devices for SCADA, Distribution Automation, substation, and metering applications, and gas instruments such as gas volume correctors and flow computers.

The CellReader Gateway is designed to be plug-n-play, providing anywhere, anytime, always-on cellular connectivity to remote energy devices and allowing the use of existing utility tools such as Itron’s MV-90xi, Trilliant’s UnitySuite Head-End Software or other data collection or SCADA systems.  A Gateway is a small and versatile device packaged in a NEMA-type enclosure, making it easy to install indoors or outside a building as needed by the application.
