Trilliant to Demonstrate ZigBee HAN Portal At Beijing Conference
Redwood City, California, September 13, 2007 – Trilliant Incorporated, the industry's leading provider of advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) based on open standards, today announced that it will demonstrate the Micro Access Portal (MAP) at the ZigBee® Alliance Open House and Exposition on September 13, 2007 in Beijing at the Kerry Centre, Hotel Beijing.
The Trilliant MAP is an extension of Trilliant’s advanced wireless mesh network offering for home area networks (HAN) using ZigBee. The ZigBee based MAP is a full function device that can be embedded into a wide-range of utility owned or managed components including meters, smart thermostats, in-home displays, remote appliance controller switches, or outdoor devices providing secure 2-way communications and control.
The end-to-end AMI-HAN solution incorporates ultra-secure encryption/authentication and includes advanced software for consumer messaging, home management and load control. Trilliant's advanced mesh architectures allow utilities to deploy supplier-neutral demand response solutions that include interconnection of load-bearing consumer appliances and information displays with meters and system control centers.
