Trilliant’s Chief Marketing Officer Geoff Williamson to Speak at Australian Utilities Conference On Demand Response
Redwood City, California, May 10, 2007 – Trilliant Incorporated, the industry's leading provider of advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) based on open standards, today announced that Geoff Williamson, chief marketing officer and well-known expert on demand response metering, will speak Tuesday, May 15, 2007, 1:30 to 3:00 PM, at the Measurements and Metering Innovation (MMI) Conference in Queensland, Australia.
The MMI Conference, Australia's premier metering event, attracts many of the leading metering managers, technologists, regulators and policy makers from around the world. Williamson's presentation, "Demand Response, the Customer Benefit in AMI," will discuss how this technology can help address the issues of peak demand periods, peak power days, continuing growth, and infrastructure restrictions.
Williamson, a recognized thought leader and market evangelist for advanced demand response and AMI, is an Australian native. He worked with Email, Johnson Controls and Honeywell in Australia before moving to Silicon Valley, where he also held executive management roles with companies such as CellNet Data Systems, Sage Systems and Invensys. He was a co-founder of innovative web portal MyHomeKey.com. Williamson was an instrumental contributor to the first North American utility industry recognized commercial trial of a two-way thermostat pilot with Puget Sound Energy in 2000-2001.
